



The deal was first introduced with the release of 2019's Modern Warfare and its exclusive PlayStation-only survival mode. On the heels of COVID-19 rampaging across the world, forcing people into their homes and riving them of work, Activision releases Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered amidst an ill-advised exclusivity deal with Sony. On the other hand, it doesn't offer anything beyond a five-or-so hour experience that has been had time and time again. On one hand, it is nostalgic as a callback to the grimy-brown shooters of yore, and it has a lot of value for the millions that still remember Call of Duty as unscathed by the insidious marketing and addicting FOMO of the modern gaming paradigm.
